Tarisland is an upcoming MMORPG set in a fully-explorable world, coming soon to PC and mobile

Tencent has just revealed a new trailer for its upcoming MMORPG, Tarisland, which is slated to launch later this year on mobile and PC. Originally set to be a replacement for World of Warcraft in China, the game is now looking at a global release. It features a massive world with diverse biomes and a captivating story filled with unique characters.

Tarisland’s origins go far back to the birth of the universe when Leith, Acheron, and Moira were the three ruling primordial gods. They were associated with the life cycle of planets, albeit with differing values and points of view.

All this changed when life originated on a planet called Taris. It led to the Triangular Conflict with the god Acheron doing everything possible to prevent life from succeeding. If this godly threat is not neutralized, Taris may cease to exist.

Based on this premise, players will be tasked with saving this massive world brimming with distinctive environments and civilizations, each with their own cultures and traditions. Gameplay wise it’s quite a busy world too as Tarisland offers over ten different game modes with varying quests that open up multiple avenues of exploration in Taris.

Furthermore, the game features an intricate class system with nine different categories to choose from. They’re all highly customizable and can be tailored according to particular playstyles. Players must make a variety of decisions such as choosing a specialization, allotting talents from 40 options, picking gear sets, costumes, mounts, and spending attribute points.

Tarisland follows a seasonal progression system, offering both PvP and PvE content for everyone. The collaboration will be a beneficial tool as the raid bosses can be quite unforgiving. Strategizing moves and combining unique skills will be vital during such encounters, especially for those chasing after valuable rewards.
