Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth's roster will expand with the arrival of Arwen next month
Following its launch for iOS and Android a few weeks ago, Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth has announced the first addition to its roster. Arwen Undómiel, the Half-eleven Warrior, will arrive in EA's CRPG next month, on June 9th.
Arwen's basic ability is Guarded Slash, an attack that initially deals 90% damage to the target with a 50% chance to grant one stack of Defensive to the most in-need ally. That's at its base level, though. When fully upgraded, Guarded Slash deals 180% damage to an enemy and provides that one stack of Defensive without the coin flip.
Her Special 1 is called Deadly Earnest, which costs three stamina, deals 130% damage and dispels one Boon when unlocked. Fully maxed that damage is boosted to 270%, and it will dispel two Boons. Additionally, you gain 20% Turn Meter and 20% per Boon on self.
Arwen's Special 2, The Evening Star, is a more support-focused move. In its base form, it cleanses one Bane from two of your party while granting one stack of Regeneration for one turn to the whole squad. When upgraded completely, it cleanses one Bane from every squad member. It still provides one stack of Regeneration to everyone for one turn, but any character with less than half health earns an additional stack. Also, the most wounded Rivendell squad member will receive Immunity for one turn.
Finally, her passive is called Light of Rivendell. At unlock, there is a 50% chance of providing a squad member with a stack of Nimble if their health drops below half. However, fully upgraded, it will 100% grant that stack. Additionally, if that character is Light, they have a 50% chance of cleansing a Bane attached to them. In both cases, this passive can only trigger once per squad member.
Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth is available now on the App Store and Google Play, where it is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. You can download it for your preferred platform using the links below.
