Vampire Survivors is getting an animated show soon (that may or may not feature any vampires)
Developer poncle has officially announced that Vampire Survivors, the studio's award-winning "be the bullet hell" game, is soon getting an animated show. The popular title has been a gothic sensation thanks to its engaging gameplay and the myriad of unlockables and secret what-have-yous players love to discover, and now, fans can bring their love for the IP to the small screen with an upcoming animated adaptation.
The Vampire Survivors show will be crafted in partnership with games consulting agency Robot Teddy, as well as with Story Kitchen as headed by Dmitri Johnson (co-producer of the Sonic the Hedgehog film series). John Wick writer/creator Derek Kolstad and former APA agent/partner Mike Goldberg will also be involved.
"The most important thing in Vampire Survivors is the story, so it's a dream come true to see what started as a little indie game I made on my weekends come to life as an animated TV show! It’s also great to be partnering up with such experienced and talented people to make the show. I do wonder if they've realised that there isn't a single vampire in Vampire Survivors, though,” says Luca Galante, founder of poncle.
