DanMachi Battle Chronicle, the latest mobile adaptation of the popular anime series, is set to release later this year

The popular anime series DanMachi, otherwise known as Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, has revealed the details of its next big mobile adaptation. Titled Battle Chronicle, this new gacha RPG announced that it will be launching on May 23rd across 80 different countries!

DanMachi is no stranger to mobile games, with Memoria Freese running strong to this day. Given how successful the anime series was and still is even now, it’s clear to see that the franchise wants to continue into the future with no plans of stopping anytime soon.

And now, with Battle Chronicle, DanMachi is once again attempting to overcome the vast number of other anime-based gacha RPGs out there and make a name for itself in a pretty brutal market. The primary way it hopes to really stick out is with its seemingly excellent combat systems.

Whereas most gachas nowadays are either turn-based or auto battlers, Battle Chronicle hopes to take a few notes from something like Genshin Impact, leaving behind those traditions and moving onto a real-time action system.

Using a variety of characters from the anime, you’ll be performing awesome-looking combos in a 3D environment as you progress through the titular Dungeon. With cinematic special moves and perfectly animated normal abilities, you’ll be able to experience your favourite character in a really awesome way.

Story-wise, the game does seek to retell the anime’s story, going over most of the bigger beats within it. So don’t expect anything too new on this front, though there’s likely to be a few smaller scenes that might elaborate on certain plot points.

Whether you're a fan of the anime or someone looking for their next favourite action RPG, DanMachi Battle Chronicle might be the game for you. If you’re interested, you can currently pre-register for it at the Play Store using the link below! Apple users will have to wait a little longer for the App Store page to pop up, so stay tuned to the official Twitter for when that happens!
