The Tale of Food releases the new Spring Nimbus update, introducing three new characters

The recently launched gacha RPG The Tale of Food has already released a new update that features three brand-new characters for players to collect. Given the game is focused on personified food-based characters, these three new additions are no different, focused on some traditional Eastern-themed dishes.

The Tale of Food only recently dropped onto the scene, at least for the global crowd, so it’s really nice to see a new character update released so quickly after the initial launch. This unique little story-focused RPG is based around simply experiencing a pretty heartwarming story where you simply wander the world and collect these personified food dishes, digging into their backstories every step of the way.

The dishes you can collect range from all sorts of different foods, mostly centred around Eastern plates like Sweet ‘n Sour Pork or Spicy Diced Chicken, but each has its own unique personality and design to entice players to want to collect their favourites.

And now, with the Spring Nimbus update, you can add three more to that list. These three are the angel-winged Sparrow Bun, the gorgeously elegant Longjing Shrimp, and the vicious but looking Peach Petal Congee.

These three all come with their own story to tell as well, and the biggest plus of all is that you can get Peach Petal Congee herself for free by simply logging in for 7 days straight. The other two will come off of a traditional event-specific gacha banner, requiring a bit of luck.

Regardless, this update is a bit smaller with content but is still excellent to see given how fresh the game is. Hopefully, The Tale of Food can keep this pace up, but I suppose only time will tell.
