Invincible Absorption Majin Buu

Stacking defence and stacking offence, plus additional Super Attack chances plus additional Ki per Ki sphere. Oh and 12% HP recovery per turn. Then after the 4th turn, he can transform. Who knows what will happen if this guy ever gets an EZA (or link partners on his level).

Unparalleled Super Saiyan Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta

Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta is an amazing unit that features pretty much everything you could ever want from a Z-tier unit: great tanking abilities, excellent damage and an even better link set. The unit can lower the enemy's DEF while raising his own, making it a truly great unit for most battles.

Fused Hope Goku & Vegeta

Maybe those two fused to break Dokkan as this unit has everything. Damage reduction, great attack, additional Ki per Sphere, a chance for an additional Super Attack. If that sounds great, it gets better after the 4th turn when they can perform Potara Fusion and turn into Super Vegito. Then the battle is over. Counters upon receiving normal attacks, additional Ki per Ki sphere, critical hit chances, 50% HP recovery. Oh yes and the ability to foresee Super Attacks for 10 turns. No wonder he is at the very top of the Dokkan Battle tier list.

Destroyers of the Universe Team Turles

A.K.A Destroyers of Dokkan Battle Team Turles. What can you say about this unit really? Great support, great defence, great attack. Ah yes and you can proc his active skill twice. If you can find an ‘issue’ with this unit is the fact that you can only run them in 4 categories.

Earth-Protecting Flash Super Saiyan 2 Gohan

Yes this guy has some restrictions alright. As he should, otherwise he would be on another tier on his own. He will protect the Earth alright (and carry his team).

Sign of a Turnaround Goku

70% dodge chances. The more he attacks he evades, the faster he’s stacking stats. Eliminating Guard, amazing links. What else is there to be said about this unit?

Majesty of the Mighty Jiren

200% ATK and DEF, effective attacks against all types, lowers enemies' defence, chances to stun with a guaranteed critical hit on a stunned enemy. He’s just an insane unit. Someone can say that he doesn’t really have the best links and it’s true, yet here he is as one of the top units.

Beyond Boundless Power Super Saiyan God SS Goku (Kaioken) & Super Saiyan God SS Evolved Vegeta

Those guys just have perfect links with so many units that we had to put them near the top of the Dokkan Battle tier list. Massive amounts of damage and defense.

A Promise Made to Kakarot Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta (Angel)

There are not many things this unit cannot do after the 3rd turn. Very easy to proc his active and passive skills plus his ‘Unit Super Attack’. There’s a dozen of units that meet the conditions (‘Goku’, ‘Majin Buu Saga’) and can be (should be) put on the same rotation with this one.

Ultimate and Supreme Fusion Gogeta / Ultimate and Invincible Fusion Vegito

People love to overrate or underrate the blue fusions. Maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle. 30% chance for the additional attack to become a Super Attack, 50% chance to evade enemy's attack on their base form. They are not meant to be put on 1st slot or tank attacks as they are glass cannons. When they transform it’s a different story.

Miracle-Calling Clash Super Saiyan Gohan (Teen) & Super Saiyan Goten (Kid)

Insane offensive unit. Stacking ATK and DEF and Ki as they attack. With their additional attack, that means that they can stack much faster than units who stack per turn.

Awakened True Power Super Saiyan Gohan

This unit has one of the worst actives in the game for sure. Yet, after all this time, he’s still an amazing one. Once he transforms (which is easier nowadays), he’s one of the best hard hitters in Dokkan Battle. Oh yeah, plus amazing defence because of his stacking passive.

Two Makes the Strongest of All Universes Super Saiyan 2 Caulifla & Super Saiyan 2 Kale

A super tank with great attack. That shouldn’t be possible, yet this is what this unit is. On their release, those two were borderline broken really, but since this is Dokkan we are talking about, new even more ‘broken’ units came out since. That’s why this one isn’t higher on our list. Stacking defence, additional attack, dodge up to 66% after a few turns.

Miracle-Making Super Saiyan Super Saiyan Goku

One of the strongest members on a ‘Super Saiyan’ team. Changes Ki Spheres to Rainbow Spheres and then he gets additional Ki per Rainbow Sphere obtained additional ATK and DEF per Ki Sphere obtained, plus a 7% ATK boost per Super Saiyan category ally. Amazing unit, overall.

The True Value of Perfect Form Cell

A fantastic unit for pretty much every event. He just needs a suitable partner to link up (which is pretty much any Perfect Cell) and he’s a monster. Full HP recovery after his transformation, additional ATK and DEF the more Ki Spheres he obtains.

Apex of Supreme Saiyan Power Super Saiyan 4 Goku

Another unit that I can’t be objective about. SSJ4 Goku has always been my favourite transformation and unit to play within any DBZ games (Legends, Xenoverse, etc). Maybe some people would rank him lower and that’s ok. 130% DEF for a leader is certainly not great, but he can stack defence each turn. He does need his perfect partner on the team, SS4 Vegeta.

Unrivaled Saiyan's Peak Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta

You can argue that this guy is on the same tier as ‘Apex of Supreme Saiyan Power Super Saiyan 4 Goku’ and you would have a very good argument for it. On the other hand, I believe that SSJ4 Goku is a bit better because of his categories. He starts with a better DEF than Goku but he only gains DEF on his 18 Ki. He's super good on a Giant Ape Power team. He should always be on the same rotation with SSJ4 Goku.

Fused Super Power Super Saiyan Goku & Super Saiyan Vegeta

One of the 3rd-anniversary units as this card was released back in 2018. Still to this day a pretty solid card with great links. Full HP recovers on the 6th turn once they transform, 30% ATK boost to allies during Super attack, plus counters is just very good.

Mark of Almighty Power Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rose)

I might have put this one a bit higher than what some people would like for sure. I admit I’m biased when it comes to this card because it happens to be one of my favourites, so bear with me. Offensively this unit is a beast. His passive is crazy, can do like 7-9m damage. Yeah, his defense isn’t the best and if he gets hit before his Super Attack it can be a problem.

Nightmarish Impact Super Saiyan Broly

The only problem with this guy (one of my favourite cards) is his defence really. Kind of similar to Rose in that sense. Make no mistake though, this guy is an offensive monster, can dish out a ton of damage. Just have to wait 4 turns.

Galaxy-Threatening Invasion Full Power Boujack

Think for a second that this card was released back in 2017 in Japan (2018 in Global) and he's still amazing even to this day. He benefited greatly from the ‘Link Level Update’ for sure. The one thing that he was lacking for a long time was a support partner and now he has it in STR Boujack. The main problem is that outside of that, he doesn’t really link up with anyone otherwise he would be much higher on the list.

Legend Reborn Super Saiyan God Goku

He’s meant to be played in a specific team to get the most out of his passive.(Pure Saiyans, Hybrid Saiyans). High evasion chances, critical hit chances and very good stats overall. He does fall off after 7 turns ( it doesn’t matter for short events) otherwise he would be higher on the list.

Fused Fighting Force Super Saiyan Goku (Angel) & Super Saiyan Vegeta (Angel)

The other 3rd anniversary unit on this tier. Pretty much the same things that have been said about Super Vegeto apply to this one. Full heal once they fuse as Gogeta, attacks effective against all types. Not as good as super Vegeto but at the same ballpark.

A New Life on Vampa Broly & Cheelai & Lemo

As a standalone unit, this Trio is amazing. Can dish out millions of damage or whatever else you want, but there’s a problem. In Dokkan you need a team and the Trio doesn’t really have one. The addition of ‘All-Out War of Universe 7 Android #17‘ will help him out, but until then can’t put them any higher.

Miraculous Outcome Goku & Frieza

Now for the experienced Dokkan players who are reading this, don’t go crazy. I will remind you once again that this is about the Global version in its current state. That means this unit hasn’t received its Extreme-Z Awakening (EZA) yet. Once it does it will be placed on the top of the list. The only problem at the moment (pre-EZA) is, there’s a good chance they die before they can do anything since they have no defence. Once they attack and they get their buffs it’s a totally different story.

Indestructible Saiyan Evil Legendary Super Saiyan Broly

If this unit can survive and start stacking up ATK and DEF he’s amazing. The problem is, if he can’t do that, he will probably die as he has no real defence.

The Androids' Journey Androids #17 & #18/Android #16

As most top-tier Android units in Dokkan, the Trio is also very, very good support for their team (even though they give no DEF support). That’s until they transform to 16 and start doing some pretty good damage. 200% multiplier and crit chances. Very solid unit, overall.

Last-Ditch Attack Frieza

This version of Frieza is still a very solid unit with a pretty decent defence at lv10 Links. He can put out some very good damage numbers, but at the same time, it’s unlikely that you want to be under 30% HP in order to proc the full potential of his passive. Very good Link set.

Global Harmony Through Destruction Beerus & Whis

If you put those two on the right team (PHY Beerus etc), they can do some serious damage while at the same time, they get solid defence. You will have problems running low on Ki at times, as the card has no Ki build in its passive. Furthermore, outside of their ‘perfect’ team, they drop significantly in power.

Endless Adventure Goku (GT) & Pan (GT) & Trunks (GT)

This card has a few issues. Putting it in the first slot is risky, as the GT Trio’s defence isn’t really amazing. They need to attack first. Their damage is ok but not over the top. Now here is the biggest issue with this unit. It has no team pretty much. Maybe in the future with new card releases, this unit will have better links and we can rate it higher. That’s all but it’s a good enough reason to put the trio on this tier.

The Deadly Cell Games Cell (Perfect Form) & Cell Jr.

One of the cards that benefited hugely from the ‘Link Level Update’, as his old links were borderline terrible. Extremely good level 10 link with another Cell. The more enemies he faces the better with his AoE, plus healing. Super good unit for World Tournament.

Rampaging Vicious Saiyans Nappa/Vegeta

Someone could argue that this card should have been lower just because of how bad Nappa is. Nappa as a defensive unit is kinda ok (with the right links), but that can’t make up for how bad his skills and passive are. The guaranteed dodge comes at a 50% cost of his ATK, while the 7.8k flat boost that he’s getting is just laughable. Vegeta on the other hand is a top tier unit when they finally switch (even without an active skill). Problem is, you’ll be stuck with Nappa for the most part.

Ultimate Malign Being Super Baby 2

Super Baby 2 AKA Saiyan exterminator. The stats that he's getting when he's facing ‘Pure Saiyans’ and ‘Hybrid Saiyans’ are just ridiculous. When ( hopefully soon) this unit gets a new partner, he will be placed much higher on everyone’s lists.

Dazzling Life Force Bardock

With the ‘Link Level Update’, Bardock is in a better place right now as every link gives him ATK, Good defence when facing multiple enemies plus sealing Super Attacks is always a good thing.

Second Super Saiyan Super Saiyan Trunks (Teen)

A pretty old card. This guy was released back in 2018 on Global. A totally different meta back then compared to how the game is now. This version of Trunks has no defense at all in his passive. He does get a defensive buff when you super attack and also has some very good links plus 50% critical hit chances.

Merciless Condemnation Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rose) & Zamasu

Just consider the fact that this card was released back in 2017 and it still makes it into everyone’s tier list. I think it’s safe to say that this card aged gracefully. It certainly needs an EZA to rank it any higher though. 15% HP at the start of each turn is certainly nice. The stacking attack (up to 120%) is great but they need to be attacked in order to proc their passive sadly.

Hopes and Promises for the Future Trunks & Mai

This card is good but ONLY under the right circumstances. It needs to be on a ‘Time Travelers’ team otherwise its passive is just a 70% ATK. That’s certainly not good for an LR unit.

Full-Tilt Kamehameha Super Saiyan 2 Gohan

Same as Majin Vegeta, the reason we put him this low is his lack of defense. His offense, on the other hand, is a different story. A very solid offensive unit as he can do a ton of damage as long as he gets enough orbs. He needs a Ki sphere charger if you don’t want to rely on RNG.

Golden Fist Super Saiyan 3 Goku

Under the right circumstances this guy can deal a lot of damage. He can do maybe around 8 million damage which is very respectable. On the other hand, if you choose to go Attack, he has no defense. If you choose to go Defense then he has no Attack. Sadly you can’t have both.

Beyond the Ferocious Flash Majin Vegeta

The main reason why he’s so low on our Dokkan Battle tier list is his lack of defence. Now obviously when he gets his EZA he will go up on the list but currently, we can’t rate him any higher. He sure can pack a punch and cause some decent damage and have some very good links. Super good 12 ki.

Budding WarriorTrunks (Kid) & Goten (Kid)

The worst unit on this tier (by far) and for a couple of good reasons. They have a very bad 12 ki Super ATK which lowers their own ATK and DEF. On top of that, if you get unlucky with their passive, well... you simply won’t have enough for their 18 ki Super Attack. You can argue that this card should be on a lower tier on its own.
