Prolific mobile publisher Plug in Digital has announced its latest project, a port of the narrative adventure game Lost Words: Beyond the Page, which is now available to pre-order. It's heading for iOS and Android and will launch on April 11th, promising a touching and personal adventure.

Penned by Rhianna Pratchett (Heavenly Sword, Mirror's Edge and Tomb Raider 2013), Beyond the Page's story is told via diary entries written by a young girl named Izzy. Her Gran is taken ill and, possibly to cope with a difficult situation, Izzy decides to write a story for her relative to read when she's feeling better, and it's up to you to help her.

In the fantastical realm of Estoria that Izzy has created in her mind, words hold immeasurable power. Using them, you can alter the environment, whether that's to repair damaged bridges, break obstacles blocking your path or simply use them as platforming blocks. As you solve more puzzles and the story nears completion, you will learn more about Izzy in what promises to be an emotional tale.

Lost Words: Beyond the Page is a beautiful-looking game sporting a lovely watercolour aesthetic that aims to reflect the richness of Izzy's imagination. Though the movement is 2D, everything is rendered in 3D, allowing the world of Estoria to leap off the digital page. Lost Words: Beyond the Page will release on the App Store and Google Play on April 11th. You can pre-order it on your preferred platform using the links below. It will be free to try with a $5.99 in-app purchase to unlock the full game.
